Quality and Management
Management system standards are the backbone of how an organization proves it does what it says it does. This domain covers the general-purpose quality standard ISO 9001 alongside the sector-specific systems built on the same structure — medical devices, educational organizations, laboratories, IT services, asset management, project management, and supply chain security. If your organization is preparing for certification, being audited by a client, or building an internal audit function, this is where to start.

Which standard in this category should I start with?
ISO 9001 is the usual starting point. It defines the management system structure that most of the others reuse, so the concepts transfer directly. If you already work in a specific sector — medical devices, laboratories, IT services — going straight to ISO 13485, ISO/IEC 17025 or ISO/IEC 20000 is a reasonable shortcut.
What is the difference between a Lead Implementer and a Lead Auditor course?
Lead Implementer teaches you to build and run a management system inside an organization. Lead Auditor teaches you to assess someone else’s system against the standard. Implementers typically work in-house or as consultants; auditors work for certification bodies or run internal audit programmes. They are separate credentials and neither is a prerequisite for the other.
Do I need to be certified in ISO 9001 before taking ISO 13485?
No. ISO 13485 is a standalone standard for medical device quality management and can be taken directly. That said, the two share a great deal of structure, so prior ISO 9001 knowledge makes the material more familiar.
What is a Transition course for?
Transition courses are for professionals already familiar with an earlier version of a standard who need to understand what changed in a revision. They are shorter and assume you already know the fundamentals — they are not an introduction to the standard.
What is included in the course price?
Two exam attempts — your first sitting and one free retake — plus the certification application fee and the first year of the annual maintenance fee. There is nothing further to buy to become certified.
